Seminar Series

Safety Net Seminar Series

Highlights

Join the Better Government Lab (BGL) for a three-part virtual seminar series on recently completed evaluations of state- and county-level innovations designed to offset economic hardship and improve economic mobility.

Talks will cover the effectiveness of social policies meant to provide an economic safety net during the pandemic, including evaluations related to SNAP, unconditional cash transfers, and public safety. In each session, implementing partners from state and county governments will share their perspectives on embedding evaluation into government programs.

The goal of this series is to share evidence with policymakers and researchers on the effectiveness of these programs to inform policy decisions in other states and localities with similar programs.
