Bill Schultz

Assistant Research Professor
Better Government Lab

Bill Schultz is an Assistant Research Professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy’s Better Government Lab, an Associate Scholar of the Political Science Department at Florida State, and spends some time working as a data scientist for the General Services Administration’s Office of Evaluation Sciences. He received his PhD in Political Science from Florida State in 2020. Bill is passionate about using computational and statistical techniques to research pressing policy challenges, especially those with equity and justice implications. He studies a wide variety of topics including the design of opioid disposal programs, the alleviation of administrative burdens, and the effectiveness of ecological restoration initiatives. His work relies on a flexible mix of experimental, quasi-experimental, and descriptive methods.
