Kristine J. Hahm is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Policy and Political Economy at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she also earned an M.S. in Geospatial Information Sciences. Her research examines how administrative burden and geographic access jointly shape participation in safety-net programs and the receipt of health care among low-income populations. Her dissertation links SEER cancer registry records with Medicaid administrative data to estimate how enrollment barriers and proximity to oncology care affect coverage, treatment, and survival, and how the Medicaid expansion under the ACA reshaped these relationships.
