Maria Tiggelaar is an Assistant Professor at Leiden University and a former visiting doctoral student at the Better Government Lab. Her research focuses on how citizens and public servants can cope better with the bureaucratic procedures they face, either in their daily work or in their interaction with government services. This can improve contact between people and the government, and help individuals gain access to the government services they are eligible for.
