Michael Chen is an Evaluation Lead at Nava Labs (part of Nava PBC), where he designs research pilots to study how AI tools can help frontline caseworkers and improve access to public benefit programs. He brings over 15 years of experience working with government agencies, academic institutions, and philanthropic foundations to conduct program evaluation and enhance service delivery. He holds a BA in Economics and Public Health from Brown University and a PhD in Health Services Research and Policy from the University of Rochester.
